Cheap Holidays to Barbati from Ireland
Located north of Corfu Town, approx 25 klms away, lies the pretty little resort of Barbati. Best known for its 2 klm stretch of shingle beach and absolutely pristine waters, Barbati is a proud Blue Flag beach carrier. A holiday in Barbati is all about relaxation, enjoying some local life and, of course, sampling the delicious Corfiot cuisine in the family run tavernas sprinkled around the village and along the beach.
Barbati holidays are highly recommended for families and couples who prefer a bit of the quiet life, yet still want a degree of nightlife in nice laid back pubs and local music bars (where the volume is turned down low!). A good choice of traditional style tavernas serve typical dishes and international fare with the emphasis on fresh and simple produce.
The beach, with crystalline waters, is a 20 minute walk from the village which straddles either side of the main coastal road. There is a watersports school where skiing, banana boats and ringo rides are the popular pursuits and boats may be hired from a local agency. Some of the beachfront snack bars and tavernas have gorgeous sea vistas, views of Corfu Town and even the outline of Albania clearly visible on the horizon.
If you're feeling very energetic, the lively resort of Ipsos is about 20 minutes walk from Barbati where a greater diversity of nightlife, shops, clubs and discos are all available.
