Sands Beach Resort

Stunningly landscaped with multiple pools, a seawater lagoon with private beach and beachfront setting, Sands Beach Resort is exactly what it says on the tin! Situated on Los Charcos beach in Costa Teguise, the complex is very large (comprising 6 different areas) and is ideal for relaxed family style or active holidays.

The property has 7 separate swimming pools (one is a heated 25m pool with 8 lanes) , 5 kiddies pools, extensive sun terraces, "Mai Tai" poolside snack bar, "Buddy" mini club for children, playground, mini disco, daily activities and evening entertainment programme.

In addition, Sands Beach Resort offers 24 hour reception, "La Hacienda" buffet restaurant, lounge bar, tennis court, supermarket, well equipped gym, sports shop and wellness centre with massage and a hairdresser. The complex is constructed in low rise design with attractive features of terraces and pretty walkways. The centre of the resort with its bars, cafes, shops and restaurants is just 10 -15 minutes away and there is direct access to the pretty promenade.

One bedroom apartments are spacious and well furnished. Each one bedroom apartment has separate double bedroom, living / dining area with sofa bed, safe, satellite TV, iron / ironing board, hairdryer, well equipped kitchenette (cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle toaster etc.), bathroom and balcony / terrace. Beachfront apartments are further equipped with dishwasher and oven. Wifi is free (limited to 2 devices).

Costa Teguise

These days, Costa Teguise is one of the main resorts in Lanzarote, Costa Teguise holidays are nicely laid back, placid and relaxed. This Lanzarote resort is definitely more leisurely in pace than Puerto del Carmen and therefore attracts a clientele interested solely in Lanzarote holidays of quiet enjoyment and pleasure without the blare of noise and thrumming disco flashes.

Situated on the island's east coast (approx. 20 minutes drive from Arrecife airport), Costa Teguise has been purpose built, but retains an attractive community feel. Thoughtfully landscaped, there are pleasant plazas with plenty of palms, foliage and greenery and little bars, cafes and restaurants with al fresco terraces are plentiful. Although nightlife is of the low key variety, there are still pubs and nightclubs and lots of good quality restaurants.

Shopping in Costa Teguise is good with many tourist outlets, jewellery stores and discounted electrical shops. There are several beaches in the area and the best is probably "Las Cucarachas" which has sugary white sand and is renowned for windsurfing. In general, Costa Teguise hotels are good standard and well geared to the needs of the visitor.
