Moraitika

The resort of Moraitika is a quiet and laid back resort in the south of Corfu where the Greek village atmosphere still exists and where the hand of time has not ravaged too much. Situated about 20 klms south of Corfu Town, Moraitika has a good selection of local bars, tavernas and shops, but the area is traditional and quite typically Greek.

A good, large sandy / shingle beach is the main attraction for day and there are a few good local eateries fronting the beach with plenty of shade offered by clutches of pine trees.

Holidays in Greece are for chilling out and a stay in Moraitika will prove no different. Lazy days are centred on the beach with the most strenuous activity possibly culminating in a paddle in a pedalo. Balmy evenings can be spent in one of the many local tavernas tasting some of the traditional specialities of tzadziki, Greek salad and stifado whilst sipping something chilled and refreshing! There are a few bars and clubs, but really, the nightlife is pretty low key.

Moraitika holidays are recommended for a complete de-stressing experience and an escape from the pressures of work. After a spell under the Greek sun and bathed in the warmth of the local people, you might just regain your sanity!
