A lovely (perhaps slightly lesser known) resort located close to Palma Nova, holidays to Portals Nous are laid back and relaxing and it (thankfully!) lacks some of the wackier elements of brasher resorts. For Majorca holidays, the resort is ideal as proximity to the capital city, Palma and nearby Palma Nova, makes for plenty of diversity.

A pretty little sandy beach at Costa d'en Blanes, popular with locals and visitors has a range of watersports activities for the energetic and active. A good selection of local pubs, bars, cafes and quality restaurants cater to all tastes and pockets and there is a nice local "feel" to the area still.

Home to Marineland, this attractively laid out park themed on performing sea lions, a dolphin show and trained tropical birds is an absolute must day out for all the family-definitely a top attraction on the Majorca holiday trail.

Portals Nous's claim to fame is also the fact that a luxury yacht marina, Puerto Portals, is located here. Puerto is the ultimate people watching place with an amazing selection of upmarket cafes, bars and top class restaurants, all perfectly positioned to watch the glitterati disembark from their opulent sailing craft! There are a few high-end boutiques here too, so window shopping and, of course, comparing the size and lavishness of the yachts is a most enjoyable pastime.

Even during the day, take a stroll in Puerto Portals and enjoy a coffee at any of the atmospheric cafe bars harbourside. Another advantage of Portals Nous is its proximity to Palma, the capital city. There are good local bus connections, so a day trip for sightseeing can be a welcome break from the sun!
