- Visit the capital city - Kandy is the capital of Sri Lanka and was the royal capital of Sinhalese Kings from 1592 to 1815. Make sure to visit the Dalada Maligawa Museum to learn about the culture of Sri Lanka and its Buddhist beliefs.
- Uda Walawe National Park - Go on a safari in Sri Lanka's finest national park filled with wildlife from elephants to deer and buffalo to 210 species of birds.
- Hop on the train - Take the train from Kandy or Colombo and witness the spectacular scenery of Sri Lanka's tea plantations and coast.
- Visit the temples - Check the impressive Cave Temple in Dambulla or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth in Kandy.
